Classify My Music
You've picked your music folder and chosen this service. Here's exactly what happens next.
If you have not already picked your music folder, go to the “Get Started” tab and hit the “Select Folder” button and we will see you back here shortly.
On the pricing page, you'll see the size of your collection and your one-time price — no subscription, ever. Pay once, when you're ready.
After you pay, head to the Genre Classifier. GenreFix already knows the folder you picked — just confirm it and press start. It reads only the information about your songs — artist names, album titles, and track titles (scans this information only; nothing is ever uploaded and your music never leaves your computer).
GenreFix classifies your music one artist at a time, live on screen. Familiar artists come back instantly; new ones are analyzed on the spot. Larger collections take a little longer — just leave the tab open while it runs.
When it's done, you'll see every artist with the genre GenreFix chose, how confident it is, and a plain-language reason for anything it wasn't sure about. Don't agree with a call? Change it right there with a simple dropdown. Your changes are saved.
This is the little program that writes the genres into your actual music files. Click the download button and save the file.
Unzip the file you downloaded, then double-click run_tagger (on Windows, click "Run" if it asks; on Mac, right-click it and choose "Open"). A window opens. Click Choose Folder, pick your music folder, and click Start. That's it. In one pass it fills in any missing artist or album info, writes your genres into every song, and tidies up how your artist names are written — all automatically.
Open your music player, and your genres are there, clean and consistent.
Priced by library size. One-time payment. No subscription.
